Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a professional, friendly, and dependable Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service while efficiently managing front-office responsibilities in a busy medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
Answer and manage incoming phone calls and patient inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility
Collect copayments and other patient balances
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Assist with referrals, authorizations, and medical records as needed
Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff
Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area
Follow HIPAA and all applicable healthcare privacy and compliance requirements
Perform general administrative and clerical duties
Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Professional and compassionate approach when working with patients
Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
